Loyalty Program → Settings → General
The Multi-Currency toggle lives in your General settings, alongside the rest of your account-level configuration.
Enabling Multi-Currency
Multi-Currency is off by default for every account — new and existing. Nothing changes for your customers until you flip it on.
When you enable it, two things happen automatically:
A rule-title backfill runs. An AI scan goes through every relevant rule title in your loyalty program and swaps in multi-currency placeholder tags wherever it finds a currency reference. This covers:
Earn rules
Redeem rules
Referral rules
Monthly membership reward rules
Loyalty tier entry reward rules
Stamp card reward rules
Multi-currency values start showing in your widgets and emails, converted using Shopify Markets exchange rates.
Learn more about the placeholder tags the backfill uses in the Title Parameters article.
The backfill is a one-time pass at the moment you enable the feature. It doesn't retroactively touch rules you add later — those get scanned for currency references when you save them, same as any other title.
Disabling Multi-Currency
Turning the feature off doesn't undo the backfill — your rule titles keep their placeholder tags. What changes is what those tags resolve to: with Multi-Currency off, every placeholder always displays your store's base currency, regardless of which market a customer is browsing in.
Currency Disclaimer
A short disclaimer line lets customers know that a converted value is an estimate and might not be perfectly accurate. It appears underneath converted values in both widgets and emails.
Show Original Store Currency
This setting displays the original store-currency value alongside the converted local-currency value, so customers can see both side by side.
