Same logic as widgets
Email notifications follow the same display logic as your widgets: any rule title or description that contains a title parameter will render in the customer's local currency when the email is sent, using the same Shopify Markets exchange-rate conversion.
You don't need to configure anything separately for emails — because the currency logic lives in the rule's title itself, it cascades through automatically to whichever notification references that rule (points earned, reward redeemed, etc.).
Disclaimer
The currency disclaimer also appears in emails, underneath any converted value, and is on by default when Multi-Currency is enabled. At launch, the disclaimer is controlled by the single global setting — there isn't yet a way to turn it on or off for individual emails.
A currency value in an email is fixed at send time
Unlike a widget — which recalculates the conversion live every time a customer views it — an email's converted values are locked in at the moment the email is sent. If exchange rates move after that, the email won't update; the widget will still reflect the current rate the next time the customer looks.
